Here is a simple Grilled Ring-neck Duck Recipe - A straightforward, hunter-friendly way to turn a Ring-neck duck into a gourmet meal

Serves: 2 (one duck per person, or share if they're small)
Prep Time: 10-15 minutes (plus optional marinating)
Cook Time: 10-15 minutes
Total Time: ~30 minutes active
Ingredients
2 ringneck duck breasts. ( 4 half breasts )
Marinade : Wishbone Zety Italian Dressing
Instructions
Prep the Ducks: Breast out the ducks, removing the skin and cutting the two halves of the breast off the bone.
Marinate : Marinate the breasts in Wishbone Italian Dressing for at least two hours before grilling.
Preheat the Grill: Fire up your grill to medium-high/high heat (aim for 450-500°F). Set up for direct heat—hot sear is key for juicy results without overcooking the lean meat. Clean the grates and oil them lightly.

Grill Time:
Remove duck from marinade (pat dry if wet)
Place fillets on the grill 5-7 minutes per side for breasts, flipping once.
Cook to your preference: Medium-rare is ideal for tenderness— Avoid well-done, as it turns livery.
Total time: About 10-20 minutes depending on size/thickness.
Rest and Serve: Let rest 5 minutes under foil. Slice breasts thinly against the grain. Serve hot—great with wild rice, and a simple salad.
Tips from the Field
Ringnecks from places like Ridgefield often feed in freshwater, so they're milder than some divers—no heavy soaking needed unless you notice off-flavors.
High heat chars nicely and keeps meat juicy.
