If you are looking for an incredible bass fishing experience, spend a day at Horse Thief Lake and enjoy some great smallmouth fishing and view unique petroglyphs in an amazing setting along the Columbia River.
I recently visited the park and got in some great fishing, and took the time to view the Petroglyphs on display. Unfortunately the guided tour to view additional petroglyphs is temporarily canceled due to Covid, but I plan on visiting again so I can take the tour.
Located along the Washington side of the Columbia River, it is about a 2 hour drive from Portland. Here is a link to more information on the park: Columbia Hills Historic State Park.
This is a great place to spend the day either fishing, kayaking or just to go for a picnic
