We made our first pizza on the Blackstone griddle last night and it turned out GREAT! I had heard about people doing pizza on their Blackstone griddle, but I did not understand how it worked, so I plugged into the matrix - otherwise know as Youtube, to learn how to do it. The best video I could find was on the Blackstone Youtube channel.
Step 1: We watched this video from Blackstone - It was super helpful 7 I highly recommend!!
Step 2: Get your dough ready
Instead of using a pre made pizza crust, we got our dough from Trader Joes and hand rolled it.

Step 3: Cook your ingrediants.
We cooked the Italian Sausage, Mushrooms, jalapeños and Garlic on the Blackstone on a high heat.

Step 4: Put the dough on the griddle.
When it was all cooked, we moved all these ingredients to one side of the griddle, turned that side down low and placed the pizza dough on the hot side.

Step 5: Add toppings to the crust.
We let the dough cook on the griddle for about 4 minutes, then added sauce and all the toppings.

Step 6: Cook using some steam from the Blackstone water bottle.
Once the toppings were on, we used the Blackstone water bottle to add steam to the griddle and closed the lid, waited a couple of minutes then repeated this step. This allowed the cheese to melt faster, and I think it actually made the dough more crispy. I would have never thought of this step if I had not watched the video - and it is a critical step.

Step 7: Serve & Enjoy!
Once it looked ready we removed from the griddle and cut it into slices.

The crust was thin and crispy, and the toppings were perfectly heated up. Pizza on the Blackstone Griddle was by far my favorite pizza we have made so far and we will definitely do this again!
