I recently met the founder of Pacific Watch Company (PWC) at Bigfoot Mountain Outfitters in Ridgefield Washington. PWC is based in my home town of Camas, WA and they are all about USA made, small batch, sustainable manufacturing. I loved the story that Jermey told me about the company and the product.
He showed me their flagship product, the Cascade Field Watch, and I was intrigued by the clean simple look of the watch. In addition to the sharp looks, the watch features a 316L stainless steel case, sapphire crystal glass, USA made Ameriquartz movement, and is designed for the outdoor lifestyle. I liked it so much that I bought one from Bigfoot Mountain Outfitters. It was a total impulse buy, and was the first watch that I have purchased in many, many years. The watch is awesome, I love everything about it, but in just one day of wearing it, I realized that I bought more than a watch, I purchased the most valuable asset in the world.....I bought time itself.
Checking the time without going down the rabbit hole
Wearing the watch made me realize that when I use my phone to get the time, I inevitably fall down an electronic rabbit hole that starts with all the notifications that pop up. Once I enter matrix of the smart phone, my brain then decides that I need to check the news, the stock market, sports, my social media feeds, text messages, my ring, voicemails and on and on. The simple task of checking the time turns into a 30 minute waste of time. I usually have to check the time again just to see how much time I wasted. What a colossal waste of time, all because I just wanted to check the time. UGH!! This is why I say that I bought time when I bought this watch. Just a simple glance at my new watch gives me the time, and I continue my day outside of the rabbit hole. I have only had the watch for a day, and already I have gained precious time.

The PWC Cascade Field Watch may be the best investment I ever made. It looks great, is functional and gives me time. I highly encourage you to get a watch, and buy yourself some time!
