Looking for an incredible way to cook up a piece of Halibut? Try this recipe on your charcoal grill - it’s one of the easiest and best ways I have found to cook halibut.
The ingredients are simple
Ingredients: Sea Salt Mayonnaise Dill Shredded Sharp Chedder Cheese
First, place your fillet in an aluminum foil boat and lightly sprinkle sea salt over your Halibut Fillet
Second, Cover the entire fillet with a coating of mayonnaise, this keeps the fillet moist while it is cooking
Third, sprinkle Dill over the top of the fillet.
That's it…it's ready for the grill
Grill Instructions
I used my Weber Charcoal Grill for this recipe with Mesquite Lump Charcoal to give it a bit of smokey mesquite flavor. Once you get the coals burning hot, you are ready to cook.
Place the fillet on the grill and cover for at least 30 minutes. Putting the cover on the grill will cook the fish more evenly and add a bit of mesquite smokey flavor.
Check to see if the fillet is done by flaking the meat with a fork. If the meat flakes easily then the fish is done.
Once the fish is done, put your shredded cheddar over the top the fillet and cover until the cheese is melted
Once the Cheddar has melted it is ready to serve.
Serve with wild rice and fresh green salad for an awesome dinner!
Hope you enjoy!
